Ayushman Bharat-Health & Wellness Centres

• The “Health & Wellness Centre” is a key component of the Ayushmaan Bharat, under which existing Sub Health Centres and Primary Health Centres are being transformed into Health & Wellness Centres to deliver an expended range of diagnosticand clinical services for Comprehensive Primary Health Care.
• Apart from existing Reproductive Child Health Services, the provisions of required medicines, diagnostics & treatment/management of Non-Communicable Diseases (i.e. Hypertension, Diabetes, Oral Cancer, Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer) and wellness activities including Yoga are being extended through Health & Wellness Centres.
• Under Ayushsman Bharat, provision of additional human resource for Sub Health Centre level Health & Wellness Centres has been made; who will be Community Health Officers (i.e. BAMS or BSc Nursing). Presently, total 12 Community Health Officers are working at the Sub Centre level Health & Wellness Centres.
• Total 21 Health & Wellness Centres are functional in Distt Fatehabad.
